WatchMyKidsPC is a nanny service
for remotely watching subscribed computers.
WatchMyKidsPC looks for signs of
online predation or premeditated violence.
This software was installed by a parent or guardian.
If you see a tiny Nanny icon in your system tray
(like the nanny watching the computer pictured above)
then
WatchMyKidsPC software is installed on this computer.
This software sends screen images back to female nannys
who see, pretty much, everything on the screen of this computer;
much like
remote-desktop software, except nannys cannot control this computer.
Nannys look mostly for plans to meet strangers or other life-threatening behavior.
WatchMyKidsPC is not a snitch or a spy service.
If you're a kid, there is no need to worry that we might tell your parents
about all the goofy stuff you do on this computer; that's not why we're here.
WatchMyKidsPC was invented to save kids, not tattletale.
OPTIONS:
If you right-click on the Nanny icon in your system tray, there you will find a number of options:
If the Enable menu item is black, that means the nanny software has already been disabled,
and nothing is now being transmitted to nannys from this computer.
Selecting Enable will activate the nanny software; no password is required.
If the Disable button is selected,
then nanny software can be disabled for a selected time period; password is required.
If the Exit menu item is selected, then
WatchMyKidsPC software is disabled until system restart,
the program called wmkpc.exe is stopped,
and the Nanny icon disappears from the system tray.
Password is required.
A parent or guardian may
Change Password ;
the current password is required to do that; it was chosen when the software was installed.
